OATMEAL

I eat this almost every morning! Maybe I’m a creature of habit, but this oatmeal is so satisfying and so easy to make. Not only does it fill me up after my morning workout, but it also keeps me nice and warm during the winter months.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cup Berries (I usually go for any berries that are organic and in season)

  • 1/2 cup Oats (I use Bob’s Red Mills Gluten Free Organic Rolled Oats)

  • 1 - 1.5 cup Water

  • 1/2 Ripe Banana, mashed with a fork

  • 1/2 cup Nut milk ( I use MALK’s oat milk)

  • Pinch of Cinnamon

  • Pinch of Salt

  • Optional: Nut butter, nuts (I like almonds and walnuts), seeds (hemp, sunflower, pumpkin, flax seed powder)

MAKE

  • Add one cup water, 1/2 cup oats, and a pinch of salt to a small saucepan; stir; bring to a boil

  • Once boiling, turn heat to very low setting; set a timer for 5 minutes

  • Continue to stir every few minutes so the oats don’t stick to the bottom of the pot

  • At 5 minutes, add 1/2 cup nut milk; stir; set timer for 5 minutes

  • Continue to stir for another 5 minutes

  • Pour oatmeal into a bowl; stir in ripe banana; top with cinnamon, berries, nuts / seeds, & a splash of nut milk
